Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Learn Thai Alphabet & Words mobile application and related services operated by EmberKot Digital Limited (collectively, the “Application”). In this Policy, EmberKot Digital Limited is referred to as “EmberKot Digital”, “we”, “us”, or “our”.
Overview
We do not require users to create an account, and the Application does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, postal address, or similar identifying information.
We do not maintain our own database of individual user profiles. However, the Application integrates third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, and advertising. Depending on your settings and, in versions where it is offered, whether you have purchased the Pro unlock, these services may automatically process limited technical, usage, diagnostic, and advertising information as described below.
Information Processed Through the Application
Optional analytics
If analytics is enabled in the Application’s settings, Google Analytics for Firebase may automatically process information such as:
- Application launches, screens or features used, interaction events, and session duration;
- the date and time of interactions;
- Application version and installation or app-instance identifiers;
- device type and model, operating system and version, language, and similar technical information; and
- approximate location, such as country or region, derived from the device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address.
We use analytics information to understand how the Application is used and to improve its content, functionality, and usability. We generally receive analytics in the form of reports and do not use it to determine a user’s real-world identity.
You can disable future optional analytics collection at any time in the Application’s settings.
Crash reports and diagnostics
The Application uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify and correct crashes and other technical problems. Crashlytics remains enabled even if you disable optional analytics. It may automatically process:
- crash logs, stack traces, error messages, and diagnostic events;
- Application version and the state of the Application at the time of a crash;
- device model, operating system and version, available memory, storage, and similar technical information; and
- installation identifiers used to associate related crash events.
Crash reports are used only to diagnose problems, maintain stability, and improve the Application. Please do not place personal information in any information that may be included in a crash report.
Advertising
While advertisements are enabled, the Application uses Google AdMob and Appodeal to request and display advertisements. Appodeal may also connect to third-party advertising partners. Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and advertising settings, these services may process:
- your IP address;
- advertising identifiers, such as the Google Advertising ID or Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), where available and permitted;
- publisher, Application, installation, device, or session identifiers;
- device type and model, operating system and version, Application version, language, time zone, screen characteristics, and similar technical information;
- network information, such as connection type or mobile carrier;
- approximate location derived from the IP address;
- ad requests, advertisements displayed, impressions, clicks, completed views, and other interactions with advertisements;
- consent and advertising-preference signals; and
- diagnostic, performance, fraud-prevention, and security information.
This information may be used to deliver advertisements, personalize advertisements where you have permitted this, measure advertising performance, limit how often advertisements are shown, and detect fraud or invalid traffic.
Some versions of the Application offer a Pro unlock that removes advertisements. Where the Pro unlock is available and active, the Application does not request or display advertisements. This stops future information processing caused by new ad requests, but it does not automatically delete information previously processed by advertising providers. Versions that do not offer the Pro unlock continue to display advertisements subject to your consent and advertising choices.
You may also control personalized advertising through the privacy choices presented in the Application and through your device’s privacy or advertising settings, where available. Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily prevent non-personalized or limited advertisements from being displayed or prevent the limited processing needed to deliver ads, prevent fraud, or comply with law.
Information You Provide When Contacting Us
The Application itself does not require you to submit identifying information. If you voluntarily contact us by email, we will receive your email address and any information you include in your message. We use this information only to respond to your request, provide support, protect our rights, or comply with legal obligations. Please do not send information that is not needed for us to respond.
How Information Is Used
Information processed through the Application may be used to:
- provide, maintain, and improve the Application;
- understand Application usage when optional analytics is enabled;
- diagnose crashes and technical problems;
- request, display, personalize where permitted, and measure advertisements while advertising is enabled;
- prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and invalid advertising traffic;
- remember and communicate consent or privacy preferences; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.
Legal Bases Where European Data Protection Law Applies
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, or similar law applies:
- we rely on your consent for optional analytics and for personalized advertising where consent is required;
- you may withdraw that consent through the Application’s settings or privacy choices without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal;
- we rely on our legitimate interests in maintaining a stable and secure Application for crash reporting, diagnostics, fraud prevention, and security, where permitted by law; and
- third-party providers may rely on additional legal bases described in their privacy notices and presented through the applicable consent interface.
Where consent is legally required, non-essential processing will not be enabled until the required choice has been obtained.
Third-Party Services and Disclosure
The technical, usage, diagnostic, and advertising information described above may be transmitted directly from your device to the relevant third-party service. Although we generally receive aggregated analytics, crash, and advertising reports, the providers may process device-level information when providing their services.
The Application uses the following third-party services:
- Google services and Google Privacy Policy
- Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics
- Google AdMob
- Appodeal
Appodeal and AdMob may involve additional advertising and measurement partners. The partners available for a particular ad request can vary according to region, ad availability, and your consent choices. Their processing is governed by the notices made available through the relevant provider or consent interface.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, investigate fraud or security incidents, protect the rights or safety of users or others, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
We do not sell personal information to others for money. However, some privacy laws define the use of advertising identifiers and other device-level information for personalized or cross-context behavioral advertising as “selling,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising,” even when no money is exchanged for the information.
Where such laws apply, you may opt out through the privacy choices provided in the Application. In versions where it is offered, you can also avoid future ad-related processing by purchasing the Pro unlock. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights, although opting out may affect advertising functionality or availability.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; receive a portable copy; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.
You can exercise available controls as follows:
- Optional analytics: Disable analytics in the Application’s settings.
- Advertising: Use the privacy choices provided in the Application. In versions where the Pro unlock is offered, purchasing it removes ads and stops future ad requests.
- Personalized advertising: Use the privacy choices in the Application or the advertising controls provided by your device.
- All processing by the Application: Uninstall the Application. Uninstalling does not delete information already processed by a third party.
- Privacy request: Contact us at support+th@emberkot.com.
Because we do not maintain user accounts or our own database of analytics or advertising identifiers, we may not be able to identify information relating to you without additional information. We will not ask for more information than reasonably necessary to verify and respond to a request. Some requests concerning data held by a third-party provider may need to be submitted to that provider, and we will direct or assist you where reasonably possible.
You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
California Privacy Rights
If California privacy law applies to our processing, California residents may have rights to know about, access, correct, or delete personal information; opt out of sale or sharing; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and receive equal service and pricing when exercising their rights.
During use of the Application, the categories of personal information that may be processed are identifiers, Internet or other electronic network activity, approximate geolocation, commercial information relating to ad interactions or, where offered, the Pro unlock, and inferences used for advertising where permitted. The sources, purposes, and categories of recipients are described in this Policy.
To submit a request, contact support+th@emberkot.com or use the privacy choices available in the Application. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
Data Retention
We do not maintain our own database of individual analytics, advertising, or crash-report profiles. Third-party providers retain information according to their respective policies, contractual terms, product settings, and the period necessary to provide their services, perform measurement, prevent fraud, comply with law, and resolve disputes. Aggregated information that no longer identifies or relates to an identifiable user may be retained for longer periods.
If you contact us, we retain the correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
Disabling analytics, changing advertising preferences, purchasing the Pro unlock where it is offered, or uninstalling the Application stops the applicable future processing as described above; it does not automatically erase information previously processed by a provider.
International Data Transfers
Our third-party providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, transfers are made using recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions, approved contractual protections, or other legally permitted transfer mechanisms. More information is available in the providers’ privacy notices linked above.
Children
The Application is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect identifying information directly from children under 16. We do not knowingly use personal information from users under 16 for personalized advertising or sell or share it as those terms are defined by applicable privacy laws.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information through the Application or that information has been processed contrary to this Policy, contact us at support+th@emberkot.com. We will investigate and take appropriate steps, including requesting deletion by the relevant provider where applicable.
The Application’s intended audience, store listing, advertising configuration, and treatment of children are designed to be consistent. Where parental consent or special child-directed treatment is required, we will apply the applicable restrictions.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and rely on service providers that maintain their own security measures. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If a data breach occurs, we will provide any notifications required by applicable law using the contact information or other notification methods reasonably available to us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy with a revised effective date and provide any additional notice or request renewed consent where required by law. Previous versions may be requested by contacting us.
